Head-On Collision Dangers on Highways in Ventura County

Rural roads connecting Oxnard and Camarillo are usually made up of two narrow lanes without a lot of room for fast-moving drivers to pass by one another. At night, motorists only have headlights to use as a gauge of where other cars are in relation to the center line.

A small veer off course can leave a careless driver inching over the yellow lines to put an oncoming car in a life-or-death situation.

California’s Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) released its accident data for Ventura County in 2022. For the year, Oxnard recorded 90 accidents involving injury caused by head-on collisions.

It’s up to every driver to pay more attention to the road as they travel local lanes so closely to other motorists. A little more focus can prevent dozens of life-threatening accidents.

A note about Ventura car accidents…

Quirk Accident & Injury Attorneys, APC posted information about how families can receive help with financial burdens, like funeral costs, after a tragic accident, “These hardships and others must be included in a wrongful death claim filed against an at-fault driver’s car accident insurance company. Insurance companies are called upon to help grieving families with their financial burdens during such a difficult time and to make sure they don’t face a financial crisis in the future.”
