Yolo County, CA – On the morning of Saturday, September 12, 2026, a single-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality at Clarksburg Road and Jefferson Boulevard, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 7:20 AM on, a rural agricultural stretch of roadway near the Sacramento River Delta.
Authorities said a vehicle struck a tree, and a utility pole was also brought down in the collision, with communication wires left hanging from it. Investigators contacted AT&T and Comcast to determine ownership of the pole, with AT&T confirming it was not theirs and Comcast expected to follow up. PG&E was also contacted to help identify the pole’s owner and estimated an arrival time of approximately 30 minutes. Because no lanes were blocked, County Roads did not initiate an emergency response for the downed pole.
A tow was requested for the vehicle.
No additional details regarding the identity of the deceased had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
