Monterey County, CA – On the evening of Thursday, August 6, 2026, a single-vehicle collision in the Aromas area resulted in a fatality, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 10:12 PM near Tarpey Road and San Juan Road.
Authorities said a vehicle struck a tree, with nearby power lines potentially affected. Fire department personnel and emergency medical services responded to the scene, and were later requested to return for extrication. A wrecker was requested for the vehicle.
