Four tows were requested for vehicles involved, including a pickup truck and a sedan with moderate damage. All lanes were reopened at approximately 3:59 AM.

Solano County Motorcycle Accidents and Wrongful Death Claims

California law requires all drivers to exercise a heightened duty of care around motorcyclists, remaining alert and prepared to avoid a collision even in low-visibility nighttime conditions. When a chain-reaction collision on the freeway results in the death of a motorcyclist, investigators with California law enforcement examine the actions of each driver involved to determine the cause and whether any party may bear liability.

Regardless of the findings, the family of the deceased may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim. A wrongful death claim can provide the family with compensation for funeral expenses, loss of financial support, loss of consortium, and other damages related to the fatal accident.
