Alameda County, CA – On the morning of Saturday, May 24, 2026, a single-vehicle collision left one person in critical condition, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 10:42 AM on northbound Crow Canyon Road near Cold Water Drive, in the direction of San Ramon.
Authorities said a red Toyota sedan rolled across the roadway and came to rest against a wall on the left shoulder. Fire department personnel arrived to find the occupant outside the vehicle requiring CPR, and resuscitation efforts were successful at the scene.
Multiple bystanders stopped to assist prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. The southbound lane was briefly blocked during the initial response.
The incident was initially classified as a fatality before being downgraded to a minor injury crash following the successful resuscitation of the occupant. A tow was requested for the vehicle following the conclusion of on-scene proceedings.
