Driver Killed in Crash on CR-G14 near Jolon, Mission Rd in Monterey County

Monterey County, CA – In the early hours of Friday, April 18, 2026, a single-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality on County Road G14 near Jolon Road and Mission Road, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 5:04 AM.

Authorities said the incident was initially detected via an iPhone crash detection notification, with the vehicle found stationary on the southbound right shoulder. A passerby reported coming across the vehicle at the scene. 

CAL FIRE responded and requested an air medical unit, confirming the crash involved a single-vehicle rollover with ejection. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department was contacted to assist while officers made their way to the remote location.

An evidence tow was requested for the vehicle following the conclusion of on-scene proceedings. No additional details regarding the identity of the deceased had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.
