Camarillo, CA – On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 25, 2026, a collision resulted in a fatality on Las Posas Road near Laguna Road, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:24 PM.
Authorities said the collision involved a white SUV and an orange Porsche, with both vehicles coming to rest on the right shoulder before at least one ended up in an adjacent field.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded and requested a hard closure of Las Posas Road between Laguna Road and Hueneme Road to facilitate a helicopter landing. All lanes in the area were blocked by fire department units during the response.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to the scene. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office coordinated a chaplain callout in connection with the incident, and the coroner was subsequently notified. Two tow trucks were requested for the vehicles involved.
County Roads was contacted to assist with the hard closure and was later advised that units could clear to the side of the roadway and return in the morning for additional work.
