Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-65 near West Lindmore St in Lindsay

Tulare County, CA – On the morning of Thursday, March 12, 2026, a multi-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality on southbound State Route 65 near West Lindmore Street, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 6:29 AM.

Southbound State Route 65 was completely blocked, and traffic was diverted to the frontage road while emergency personnel worked the scene. Caltrans was directed to close southbound State Route 65 at Hermosa Avenue to manage the closure.

Two evidence tow trucks were requested for the vehicles involved. A white Ram pickup truck and a white Ford Ranger were among the vehicles towed from the scene and held following the investigation. The roadway was cleared at approximately 8:26 AM.

No additional details regarding the identity of the deceased or the circumstances of the collision had been released at the time of reporting. The investigation remains ongoing.

Wrongful Death Claims & Comparative Negligence

Determining fault in a collision can involve multiple factors, and under California’s Comparative Negligence rule, several parties can share partial responsibility.

Should someone else be found even partly responsible for the death, the family may be able to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance. This can provide compensation to help cover medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of income to support the family of the deceased.
