Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-14 near 20th St West Leads to Fatality

Lancaster, CA – In the early hours of Sunday, November 30, 2025, a multi-vehicle crash on northbound State Route 14 near 20th Street West resulted in a fatality, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred shortly before 1:00 AM and quickly escalated from an initial two-vehicle crash to a four-vehicle crash blocking all northbound lanes. Vehicles involved included a black sedan, a silver sedan, a silver Mercedes E500, a white Honda Civic, a red Toyota Camry, and at least one additional unidentified vehicle. Some vehicles were left sideways in traffic, contributing to significant hazards for approaching drivers.

Emergency crews responded from multiple directions, with fire units entering the freeway the wrong way to reach the injured. CHP issued a full hard closure of the northbound lanes, and Caltrans reported that debris and damage required an extended response and cleanup effort.

Tow operators were dispatched to remove several heavily damaged vehicles, and all lanes were reopened around 5:15 AM once evidence towing and roadway clearance were complete. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision and the sequence of impacts.
