Oakland, CA – On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, a pedestrian collision resulted in a fatality, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 4:01 PM at Redwood Road and Lessley Avenue.
Authorities said the crash involved a white Toyota pickup, which struck a pedestrian while blocking multiple lanes of traffic. Responding units arrived within minutes and closed the roadway as emergency crews evaluated the pedestrian’s condition. Officials later confirmed the individual had died from their injuries.

Authorities said the roadway was cleared after the coroner completed a preliminary assessment and the pedestrian was transferred under trauma protocols.
