Motorcyclist Killed in Hwy 15 Crash in Barstow

Barstow, CA – In the early hours of Thursday, October 2, 2025, a motorcycle crash left one person dead on the southbound side of the highway near mile marker 67.50, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the incident was first noted at 1:11 AM when a caller saw a motorcycle on the right-hand side of Highway 15. The caller did not witness the crash itself.

Emergency responders, including the Bakersfield Police Department, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, and fire crews, arrived shortly after. Authorities confirmed the fatality at the scene.

By 3:21 AM, officers requested two tow trucks, one to handle the motorcycle as evidence and the other for standard removal. Records show the motorcycle was transported to a tow yard before 5:30 AM.

No details about the rider’s identity or the circumstances leading to the crash have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
