Belmont, CA – On the morning of Thursday, August 14, 2025, a single-vehicle crash on the Interstate 280 North off-ramp at Bunker Hill Drive resulted in fatal injuries, according to CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 9:00 a.m.
Authorities coordinated with Belmont Police, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Coroner, and Caltrans to manage the scene and investigate the collision. Fire and towing units were also deployed to clear the vehicle and secure the area.
Investigators have not released information about the identity of the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and CHP said no further details are available at this time.
