I-15, Outlet Center Dr Crash Kills 1 in Barstow

Barstow, CA – On the early morning of Friday, August 1, 2025, a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 North near Outlet Center Drive resulted in at least one fatality, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:46 AM near the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at the Outlet Center Drive off-ramp. 

Emergency services were alerted through an iPhone crash notification, and the Barstow Fire Department was immediately contacted for response. CHP units arrived shortly after and confirmed that the collision was blocking the slow lane. 

Northbound lanes were stopped entirely by approximately 2:11 AM, and shortly after, southbound lanes were temporarily halted to allow a medical airship to land. 

Authorities confirmed a fatality at 2:51 AM. The deceased party was pronounced dead at the scene by a responding physician. 

Further details regarding the victim’s identity have not been publicly released. This is an ongoing investigation.
