At Least One Killed in East Butler Ave Crash in Fresno

Fresno, CA – On the afternoon of Monday, June 30, 2025, a two-vehicle collision resulted in at least one fatality, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 12:37 PM on East Butler Avenue in Fresno.

Authorities said the crash involved a black Chevrolet Silverado and a white Nissan Versa. Emergency medical services and fire personnel responded to the scene and found the westbound lanes of Butler Avenue blocked due to the severity of the crash. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage, and multiple towing companies were dispatched to remove the wreckage from the roadway.

One person was confirmed dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. It is not yet known whether impairment or speed played a role in the crash.

Traffic in the area was disrupted for several hours while investigators examined the scene and cleared the damaged vehicles. The California Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
