Fatal Crash on SR-166 near Suey Creek in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, CA – On the late morning of Wednesday, June 25, 2025, a single-vehicle collision resulted in a fatality near Suey Creek, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 10:32 AM on eastbound State Route 166.

Initial dispatch notes indicated uncertainty regarding injuries. However, the incident was later confirmed to be fatal. Emergency crews, including medics and the fire department, responded to the scene. 

Further details about the victim, the circumstances surrounding the crash, and whether any contributing factors such as mechanical failure or impairment were involved have not yet been released. 

The CHP continues to investigate the incident.
