San Jose, CA – On the early hours of Saturday, May 17, 2025, a collision between a white sedan and a motorcycle resulted in major injuries, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the accident took place around 1:53 AM near the northbound U.S. Highway 101 and southbound Interstate 280 connector.

Emergency responders arrived to find the motorcycle rider lying on the ground in the slow lane with a severe laceration to the head. Witnesses indicated that the rider had been receiving help from another individual on the right-hand shoulder when a white four-door sedan struck him. The person assisting remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.

The white Cadillac sedan also sustained major front-end damage and came to rest on the right-hand shoulder. A female occupant reportedly exited the vehicle and lay down in one of the travel lanes following the crash.

Emergency medical services responded due to the critical condition of the motorcycle rider, who was transported for medical treatment. His identity has not yet been released.

Both the motorcycle and the sedan were towed from the scene as part of the investigation. All lanes were reopened by approximately 4:12 AM after cleanup and evidence collection were completed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding potential charges or contributing factors.

Personal Injury Claims

After a traffic accident, victims and their families often deal with unexpected financial burdens, such as medical bills, lost income, and, in the worst cases, burial costs. A Personal Injury Claim allows accident victims to hold the at-fault party financially responsible for their cost of care.
