Inyo County, CA – On the evening of Friday, May 30, 2025, a single-vehicle rollover crash resulted in one fatality, according to the CHP Fatal.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 6:15 PM near the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Sage Flats Drive.
Authorities stated that a vehicle traveling along U.S. 395 rolled multiple times before coming to a stop off the roadway. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and the incident was later confirmed as a fatal crash. No other vehicles were involved.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin by the Inyo County Coroner’s Office. A flatbed tow truck and additional recovery equipment were dispatched to the area due to the severity of the vehicle damage and the terrain where the crash occurred.
No information has been released regarding what may have caused the vehicle to overturn. The cause of the crash remains under investigation as officers continue to review evidence and road conditions at the time of the incident.
