Dog Found at Fatal Crash Site on Vermont St in San Francisco

San Francisco, CA – On the afternoon of Thursday, March 27, 2025, a fatal incident occurred on Vermont Street, prompting a response from emergency personnel and the coroner’s office, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:55 PM. 

By 2:36 PM, officials confirmed that the fatality occurred on state property, and the coroner was called to the scene. Emergency responders, including fire and police personnel, coordinated with the coroner’s office.

In addition to the fatality, authorities noted the presence of a small dog at the scene. At 2:44 PM, responders contacted animal control services to arrange for the animal’s care. 

The circumstances surrounding the fatality remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing. Officials have not yet released information regarding the identity of the deceased or the cause of the incident.
