Young Pedestrian Injured in Crash near Florin Rd, 29th St in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA – A 17-year-old girl was hospitalized Monday evening, January 13, 2025, after being struck by a vehicle in south Sacramento, according to KCRA.

The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident occurred around 5:30 PM on Florin Road near 29th Street.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of a pedestrian being hit. The teenager was transported to a nearby hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities temporarily blocked one lane on Florin Road while police investigated the incident. Multiple police vehicles were present at the scene, as shown in aerial footage.

Further details about the circumstances of the crash or the driver involved have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
