Fresno, CA — 47-year-old Sokhoeun Sem Long of Fresno has been identified as the victim of a deadly crash that occurred early Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024, on Highway 180, according to The Fresno Bee.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened just after 5:30 AM during heavy rain. Long was a passenger in a 2017 Toyota Tundra traveling west on Highway 180 when the driver lost control on the wet roadway. The truck struck a concrete bridge wall, became airborne, and dropped approximately 25 to 30 feet onto Highway 41 below.
Long was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 54-year-old man, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities confirmed the driver had a suspended license but stated that alcohol and drugs were not suspected factors in the crash.
