Roseville, CA — One 39-year-old man lost his life and another was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash late Friday night, November 22, 2024, near Foothills and Blue Oaks Boulevards, according to The Sacramento Bee.
Roseville police report that the accident occurred around 11:30 PM, involving a Ferrari that crashed for reasons still under investigation. Emergency crews transported both men, who were the same age, to a local hospital.
One of the men involved succumbed to his injuries, while the other was listed in critical condition. Police later provided an update Saturday evening stating the surviving man had stabilized.
Authorities have not confirmed whether the deceased man was driving the vehicle or riding as a passenger.
Roseville police are continuing their investigation to determine what led to the incident. Additional details about the crash, including whether speed or other factors played a role, have not yet been disclosed.
Single-Vehicle Collisions and Passenger Liability
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. California’s Comparative Negligence rule means that, even if those injured in accidents are found partially at fault, they may still be eligible to receive partial compensation for damages.
Driver liability insurance covers both those outside the vehicle and passengers inside. While it can be emotionally difficult to file a Wrongful Death or Personal Injury claim against someone close to the victim, the financial challenges after an accident can be overwhelming.
A skilled personal injury attorney can help families pursue proper compensation for their loss by handling these legal complexities and negotiating with insurance companies, who always try to reduce payouts on claims they cannot deny.
