Madera County, CA — A driver lost their life following a three-vehicle collision in Madera County on Friday evening, November 8, 2024, according to ABC30.
The accident took place shortly before 7 PM near the intersection of Highway 41 and Children’s Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the chain of events began when a vehicle struck another car from behind as traffic had come to a halt. The impact forced the second vehicle into a third.
CHP officers reported that the driver who rear-ended the other vehicle in the initial crash was taken to a nearby hospital for medical care but later succumbed to their injuries.
Authorities are still working to determine the exact cause of the crash, though early reports indicate that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been factors. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
