Anthony Thomas, 32, Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on McKinley Ave near Blythe Ave in Fresno

Fresno County, CA — The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a single-car crash early Sunday morning, November 3, 2024, as 32-year-old Anthony Thomas of Fresno, according to KSEE.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash occurred just after 3 AM on McKinley Avenue, east of Blythe Avenue.

Investigators say Thomas was driving a 2019 Alfa Romeo eastbound on McKinley when he veered off the road for unknown reasons. The vehicle collided with multiple brick pillars, a wrought iron fence, and a chain-link fence before overturning.

Thomas was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

CHP officers are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

Liability in Single-Vehicle Accidents

In some cases, investigations may reveal that even when those who die in an accident appear to be at fault, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. A personal injury attorney plays a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.

Once liability is determined, the attorney can negotiate with insurance companies, who often try to reduce payouts. That means having legal representation can be vital to ensure victims receive fair compensation for their loss.
