Roberto Vasquez II, 27, Killed, 1 Woman, 2 Infants Injured in Goldenrod, Jensen Ave Crash near Kerman

Kerman, CA – A two-vehicle crash on Sunday morning, September 29, 2024, claimed the life of 27-year-old Roberto Vasquez II of Fresno and sent a woman and two infants to the hospital, according to The Fresno Bee.

The collision occurred around 11:37 AM at the intersection of Goldenrod and Jensen Avenues, just south of Kerman. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that Vasquez was driving a Toyota Tundra southbound on Goldenrod Avenue when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As he entered the intersection, his vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram, which was traveling eastbound on Jensen Avenue.

The force of the collision caused both vehicles to overturn and come to rest in a nearby vineyard. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced Vasquez dead. His identity was confirmed by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday.

The woman driving the Dodge Ram and her two infant passengers were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Salas confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be contributing factors in the crash.

Personal Injury Claims

When the actions of reckless drivers cause others to be injured, the cost of recovery should not fall on their victims. Filing a claim with the at-fault driver’s insurance can provide compensation for medical bills and lost wages during recovery.

However, insurance companies often try to deny or minimize claims. That’s why having a knowledgeable personal injury attorney on your side is crucial to securing proper compensation for your injuries.

Stop Sign Laws

California Law requires drivers to come to a complete stop at a Stop sign (California Vehicle Code 22450). Drivers may only enter the intersection when it appears safe for all parties to do so (California Vehicle Code 21802).
