Fowler, CA – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon, September 28, 2024, as 72-year-old Lauri Redell of Fresno, according to KSEE.
The crash occurred shortly after 12:30 PM at the intersection of Tuolumne and 4th Streets, shortly after Redell left the Pharaoh’s Car Show at Panzak Park.
Redell was driving her vintage pickup truck when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.
When officers arrived, they found local residents performing CPR on Redell in an attempt to save her life. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the Fowler Police Department and the California Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Liability in Single-Vehicle Collisions
In some cases, investigations may reveal that even in a single-vehicle accident, nearby drivers or unsafe road features share some responsibility. A personal injury attorney plays a critical role in sorting through these details to help victims and their families get the compensation they deserve.
Once liability is determined, the attorney can negotiate with insurance companies, who often try to reduce payouts. That means having legal representation can be vital to ensure victims receive fair compensation for their loss.
