Seaside, CA – A deadly high-speed crash late Sunday night, September 22, 2024, on Del Monte Boulevard claimed the lives of two individuals, identified as 19-year-old Leon Torres of Watsonville and 40-year-old Daniel Carrico-Lynn.
According to KSBW, Torres, who was allegedly driving a vehicle at nearly 100 mph, had a suspended license and was on DUI probation and his vehicle struck Carrico-Lynn, who was sitting in the median, eating pizza.
The KSBW article states the car then continued down Fremont Boulevard, crashing through a raised partition and rolling before coming to a stop. Torres was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene. Tragically, Carrico-Lynn was also killed instantly by the impact.
According to KSBW, there were other passengers in the vehicle whose injuries are unknown.
