Hwy 99 Motorcycle Crash near Rosedale Hwy in Bakersfield Hospitalizes Rider Rose Jamie during Live Stream

Bakersfield, CA – According to KGET, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, motorcyclist Rose Jamie suffered a serious collision on Highway 99, south of Rosedale Highway.

Around 11:41 AM Jamie collided with a vehicle while streaming her ride live on social media. She was rushed to Kern Medical with significant injuries and initially placed on a ventilator.

Fellow rider Kimberlee Current witnessed the crash and described seeing Jamie’s motorcycle skidding down the highway before Jamie tumbled to the ground. Although the incident left her with major injuries, Jamie’s condition improved within 24 hours, and she was taken off the ventilator.

Close friend Anna Williams credited Jamie’s recovery to her resilience and faith, noting that despite the severity of the crash, Jamie was already showing signs of significant progress. A gathering of bikers from across the state is planned for Wednesday evening at Kern Medical, where they will pray and show their support for Jamie.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the collision involved a black sedan and resulted in major injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and traffic delays were expected in the area.

Personal Injury Claims

After a vehicular accident, victims and their families often face not only emotional distress but also the sudden financial burdens of medical bills, loss of income during recovery, and, in tragic cases, burial expenses.

These costs should be borne by those responsible for causing the injuries and their insurance provider. However, insurance companies typically try to minimize the compensation for any claim they cannot deny. This is why having the assistance of a skilled personal injury attorney is crucial to ensuring justice for victims of vehicular accidents.
