Sacramento, CA – A woman lost her life Thursday morning, August 29, 2024, after a collision involving a scooter and a box truck in East Sacramento, according to KCRA. The accident occurred around 10:30 AM in the area where Alhambra Boulevard intersects with Folsom Boulevard.
Sacramento Police officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision. The victim, who was riding a scooter at the time, was struck by a box truck at the intersection. Despite the rapid response of emergency services, the woman succumbed to her injuries on site.
The area around Alhambra Boulevard and Folsom Boulevard is known for its mix of residential and commercial properties, making it a frequent route for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
