Two Injured in Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Clovis Ave near Columbia Dr in Southeast Fresno

Fresno, CA — On Saturday night, June 29, 2024, two men sustained injuries in a suspected DUI rollover accident in southeast Fresno, as reported by ABC30.

The accident occurred shortly after 11 PM on Clovis Avenue near Columbia Drive. According to officials, the crash happened when a man driving north on Clovis Avenue made an unsafe turning maneuver to the left. This sudden action caused the car to cross over the center median, roll over, and come to rest on the front lawn of a nearby home.

The driver and the passenger both suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. Officers are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the unsafe turn that led to the rollover.

Passenger Liability

The liability insurance that drivers carry is designed to cover accidental harm caused not only to those outside the vehicle but also to passengers within it. A driver is responsible for the safety of everyone in their vehicle.

When the actions of reckless drivers cause injuries to others, the cost of caring for those injuries should not fall on the victims. Filing a claim with the at-fault driver’s insurance provider can offer compensation to help cover medical bills and the time taken off work to recover.

However, insurance companies have a vested interest in denying or minimizing claims. This is why the assistance of a knowledgeable personal injury attorney can make all the difference.
