Tracy, CA – According to KCRA, a tragic accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist following a collision at approximately 5 PM on Patterson Pass Road just north of Interstate 580.
The 60-year-old motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Patterson Pass Road while a sedan was heading southbound. The sedan attempted a U-turn across the dividing section, directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
Despite the motorcyclist’s efforts to avoid the collision, they struck the right front of the sedan. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, leading to the rider being ejected onto the roadway.
Emergency services rushed the motorcyclist to San Joaquin General Hospital, but tragically, they succumbed to their injuries later on.
CHP clarified that alcohol or drugs are not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
