Sacramento, CA – According to FOX40, in the early hours of Friday, March 22, 2024, 38-year-old Dora Yvonne Correa of Sacramento died in a solo-vehicle collision with a tree.
Correa was driving a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo westbound on Marconi Avenue when her vehicle left the road near Eastern Avenue and crashed into three unoccupied vehicles before colliding with a tree, reports the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders pronounced Correa dead at the scene. The CHP has not indicated whether they believe driver intoxication to have played a role in the fatal collision.
Liability in Solo-Vehicle Collisions
In some circumstances, investigations can reveal that some portion of the liability for a solo-vehicle collision might fall upon other drivers in the vicinity of the accident or even unsafe roadway structures. Working through the particulars of liability to help victims and their families find proper compensation is one of the many services a personal injury attorney can provide.
Once liability has been established, a personal injury attorney can also negotiate on behalf of the victim with insurance companies, who will always seek to minimize the payout for any claim they cannot deny.
