Elk Grove, CA – According to CBS13, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, a landscaping service pickup truck rammed the side of Laguna Park Dentistry in Elk Grove, pinning Robert “Bob” Berglund who was performing an equipment installation inside.
Investigations by the Elk Grove Police Department suggest the truck had been traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Franklin Boulevard when it suddenly veered toward the dentist’s office at the intersection of Franklin and Laguna Park Drive.
Berglund became trapped between the hood of the truck and the building structures. Emergency responders took some time to extract him and transport Berglund to a nearby hospital where he received emergency brain surgery to address major head trauma. His family has opened a GoFundMe to raise money for his treatment.
