Madera County, CA – According to KFSN, in the early hours of Sunday, March 17, 2024, a 39-year-old man on a motorcycle was rear-ended by a 24-year-old male Tesla driver suspected of DUI.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash occurred south of Madera Ranchos on Avenue 9 near Road 35 around 2 AM.
Initial investigations revealed that the motorcycle decelerated to make a turn, but the Tesla behind it failed to slow down. After striking the motorcycle from behind, the Tesla driver lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a fence, and overturned.
While the motorcycle driver received transportation to a nearby hospital for treatment, the Tesla driver, who received minor injuries, was arrested under suspicion of DUI.
Personal Injury Claims
When the actions of reckless drivers lead to injuries for others, the cost of caring for those injuries should not fall upon their victims. Filing a claim with the insurance provider of the at-fault driver can offer compensation to help cover medical bills and time taken off of work to recover from injuries.
However, insurance companies always have it in their interests to deny or minimize all claims they receive, which is why the help of a knowledgeable personal injury attorney can make all the difference.
