Police Chase Ends in 3-Vehicle Crash, 6 Injured in Sacramento’s Ben Ali

Sacramento, CA – The Sacramento Bee reports that on Wednesday morning, January 10, 2024, around 8:30 AM, a police pursuit in Sacramento’s Ben Ali neighborhood resulted in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Marconi Avenue and Connie Drive.

The pursuit, initiated by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, targeted a vehicle suspected to be stolen, commencing near Bell Street and El Camino Avenue in Arden Arcade. The situation escalated as the pursued vehicle collided with two civilian cars just a few feet away from the on-ramp to the Capital City Freeway.

The three-vehicle collision led to injuries for six. The injured included two occupants of the allegedly stolen vehicle and four from another. Emergency responders provided on-scene treatment. Three individuals refused to be transported to the hospital.

As a result of the incident, temporary road closures were implemented, affecting the eastbound off-ramp onto Kenwood Street and westbound Marconi Avenue. However, these closures have since been lifted, restoring regular traffic flow.

The suspect connected to these chaotic events has been arrested and is expected to face further legal action and is expected to be booked into jail.

Victims of a reckless driver ought to be able to count on their medical bills being covered by the responsible party. In some cases, the at-fault driver does not possess sufficient coverage for the damage they cause, but even if they do, victims may find insurance companies reluctant to make a full payout. In situations like these, the services of a knowledgeable personal injury attorney can make all the difference in seeking justice after an accident.
