MADERA COUNTY, CA — One passenger lost their life and the driver was hospitalized following a single-car crash in Madera County on Avenue 7 near Firebaugh Boulevard, according to KFSN ABC30.
The driver, 37-year-old Ashley Flavin of Fresno, was heading east when she lost control of her Jeep for reasons yet unknown, resulting in the vehicle overturning.
Sadly, one of her passengers, another 37-year-old woman from Fresno, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger received no injuries in the crash.
Flavin was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The CHP has stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be contributing factors in the crash as it continues its investigation.
