Juvenile Pedestrian Struck in Clovis Accident, Condition Now Stable

Clovis, CA – In an unfortunate incident on Sunday night, a young pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Fowler and Shaw avenues in Clovis. 

According to Clovis PD, the collision occurred at 6:46 p.m. when the teen was crossing the roadway and was hit by a car. Immediate response efforts were initiated, and the juvenile was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital. Although initially listed in critical condition, medical efforts stabilized the young pedestrian, whose name has not been released.

The driver involved in the incident, also yet-to-be-named, remained at the scene, cooperating fully with law enforcement. Preliminary investigations by the police have ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors to the collision. The Collision Reconstruction Unit of the police department is actively examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.

That night, the Clovis PD had planned a New Year’s Eve “Virtual Ride-Along” from 7-9 PM, which was canceled due to the accident at Fowler and Shaw. The ride-along will be rescheduled for a later date.
