Pedestrian Accident Injures Individual on Baker Street in Bakersfield

A man was severely injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in Bakersfield on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. According to a news report from KGET, the accident happened at 5:20 p.m. at 400 Baker Street when a man was struck by a silver passenger vehicle.

Bakersfield Police were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered that a man was lying in the roadway with severe injuries. The silver vehicle that struck him fled the scene of the accident without stopping.

Paramedics were called to the scene to help the pedestrian in need. The unidentified male was rushed to the hospital for treatment of major injuries, though his condition is not currently known.
