A woman sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident that took place on Friday morning in Oakhurst. The accident, according to ABC30, took place on Highway 41 near the area of Highway 49 at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of November 24, 2023.
California Highway Patrol stated that they arrived at the scene where they discovered that a woman was struck by a pickup truck. The woman was walking in the crosswalk when she was suddenly hit by the truck, which was on Highway 49 and turning onto Highway 41 headed south.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The woman was rushed to the hospital with major injuries. Her current condition is not yet known.
The driver of the truck remained on scene and police found that he was not intoxicated at the time of the crash.
The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident remains ongoing.
