A girl was injured in a hit-and-run crash that took place on Thursday night in Fresno. According to information provided by ABC30, the collision happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Lowe Avenue on October 26, 2023.
Fresno Police arrived on scene, where they discovered that a 12-year-old girl was walking across the street at the intersection when she was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver left the scene but witnesses followed them.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Fresno responders were dispatched to the scene. The girl was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to make a recovery.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the girl has since been detained by police. They have not said what charges the driver will be facing.
Fresno officials continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
