Homeowners whose Wells Fargo mortgage is underwater have little recourse but to seek a home loan modification when they find that making their mortgage payment has become too difficult to handle.  Unemployment and cutbacks in hours and wages from employers have caused many homeowners distress in their mortgage payments and these homeowners are growing more frustrated by the day.

Wells Fargo homeowners have seen the numbers for their lender increase in the Making Home Affordable Program over the last few months, but they want more permanent home loan modifications made.  There have been complaints about almost every lender in the home loan modification program and homeowners say it’s time for the backed up modification program to see more permanent modifications.

However, lenders like Wells Fargo have to deal with troubles from homeowners who may not qualify for the modification program or who don’t submit the proper paperwork to move through the modification.  Wells Fargo, as with every other lender, is in the position to do a better job with their homeowners.  Moving homeowners into a permanent modification is a problem many lenders are facing as qualifying homeowners are being kept in trial modifications well beyond the assigned three months for the program.

Yet, homeowners with Wells Fargo shouldn’t give up hope on their home loan modification.  Despite troubles between customers and all lenders, there is progress being made in the program and homeowners are seeing permanent modifications, so even though the road is difficult keep pressing on.
