Does Google Phone Nexus One Look To Challenge iPhone In Smart Phone Wars?

The Google Phone, named the Nexus One is said to be the rival to the iPhone and many believe if it’s marketed and developed in the right way, the iPhone will be in trouble. However, is the Nexus One Google’s phone that will launch the search engine giant into the world of wireless phones or is this Nexus One simply another product for Google and it’s wireless partners like T-Mobile to sell together?

Sites like izgadget.com have been talking about the new Google phone but many still have questions as to Google’s position in the mobile phone world. Is Google really taking on the phone world by making its own hardware along with Android software for phones or will Google remain teamed with other service providers in the mobile phone world?

Google has stated they have no intention to create their own phone and sell it outside of carriers but many are saying the release of this Nexus One is exactly what Google is doing. Google, again, has stated it makes no sense to for them to produce a phone (hardware) and Android (software) since it will be basically stabbing the wireless providers who have been pushing Android for the past months.

If Google decides to go it alone in the mobile phone wars it could be a major force in the wireless world but with other providers having promoted Android there could be soured business relations that come back to bite Google.

We’ll have to wait and see if Google uses the Nexus One as the starting point for phone production or simply an introduction of a new phone for wireless carriers.
