Medicare Healthcare Benefits Expansion Looks Doubtful Before December 31, 2009

The proposal to expand Medicare healthcare benefits before December 31, 2009 seems to be impossible with so much debate over the subject and the addition of healthcare benefits expansion being cited as the source, which is keeping the healthcare bill from passing.

Many were hoping Congress would pass an extension before the end of the year as many will lose their benefits or come into high costs for health insurance in 2010 but with so much dispute over the specifics of the bill in general and the details that come with Medicare benefits expansion there seems to be no way the members of the Senate can allow the Medicare expansion proposal to continue if they wish to pass the bill.

This will come as troubling news for many who are on Medicare but those who seem to be the ones giving up this particular round of the fight for Medicare benefits expansion say they will not forget those who need the expansion and will continue to fight on this issue.

The only thing that can be done, if the Medicare expansion is indeed removed from the bill, is for Medicare recipients to either try to pay for their coverage for a month or so in the hopes an extension will be made available or look for other sources of healthcare benefits that are affordable.

Again, the Medicare benefits extension is not officially out of the question yet, but the consensus is there is no time for extensive debate on the issue if the healthcare bill seeks to get passed before the end of the year.
